Hiroshima has a visitor problem that nobody in Hiroshima likes to say out loud: the average stay is about 1.4 nights. People come for the Peace Memorial Park, cross to Miyajima, and leave for Kyoto the next morning.
That is not because there is nothing else here. It is because almost nothing else here is written about in English.
This site exists to fix a narrow version of that problem. Everything listed sits within roughly an hour of Hiroshima Station, and every entry is written to answer the question a traveller actually has — how much of my day does this cost, and is it worth it? — rather than the question a tourism board wants answered.
Who runs this
One More Day is published by muutos Inc., a company based in Hiroshima. We are not a travel agency, we do not operate tours, and we have no commercial relationship with the places listed here beyond the affiliate arrangement described below.
Being based here is the entire editorial advantage. Opening hours in this region change without an English announcement. The Yamato Museum reopened in April 2026 and most English guides still say it is closed. Hiroshima Castle’s keep shut in March 2026 and most English guides still tell you to go inside. We can check things because they are down the road.
How things get on the list
Every entry carries a last-checked date. When that date is old, treat the details as old — we would rather show you the date and let you judge than quietly leave stale information looking fresh.
We do not accept payment for inclusion. Nobody on this site paid to be here, and no operator has approval over what we write about them. When something is not worth your time, we say so — there are entries on this site that end with a reason not to go.
How this site is paid for
Some links on this site are affiliate links to booking platforms such as Viator and GetYourGuide. If you book through one, we receive a commission from the platform. You pay exactly the same price. The commission comes out of the platform’s margin, not your fare.
What this does not change: whether something appears here, where it appears, or what we say about it. Several of the best things in Hiroshima are free and cannot be booked anywhere — a submarine you can walk inside, a shipyard viewing park, a brewery you can wander through. They are on this site precisely because they are good, and they earn us nothing.
Corrections
Prices change, ferries reschedule, and operators close. If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and update the checked date. Corrections from the operators themselves are welcome — we would rather be accurate than right.
