What this site collects
Two analytics services run on this site. Between them they tell us which pages people find useful, and that is all we use them for.
Google Analytics 4 sets cookies on your device (the _ga family). It records which pages you visit, roughly where the visit came from, and when you follow one of our booking links — that last one is how we tell whether this site pays for itself. IP addresses are anonymised before they reach Google. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or share this data.
Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies at all and does not identify individual visitors.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site. Everything here works exactly the same either way — the listings, the prices and the travel times are plain pages.
Booking links
Some links here are affiliate links, principally to Viator and GetYourGuide. If you book through one, we earn a commission and you pay exactly the same price; the commission comes out of the platform’s margin, not your fare. Following such a link takes you off this site, and that company’s own cookies and privacy policy then apply.
We do not accept payment for inclusion. What appears here, and how it is described, is our decision alone.
What we do not do
There are no accounts on this site, so there is nothing to sign up for and no password to lose. We run no advertising cookies. The only personal data that reaches us directly is whatever you choose to put in an email to us.
Our other site
The same publisher runs Miyajima Tides, which handles data the same way. Visiting one tells the other nothing about you; the two sites do not share visitor data.
