A working oyster processor on Etajima, where buying a bag gets you a knife and a lesson. You can also watch the shuckers work, which is the part nobody forgets.

This is not a visitor attraction. It is a place where oysters are landed, opened and packed, and they let you in.
Buy oysters and they will show you how to open them yourself — where the hinge is, how much force, why the first one always goes badly. Alongside, the professional shuckers are working at a speed that has to be seen to be believed. One oyster, one movement, next.
There is a space to grill what you have bought, but bring your own drinks and seasoning: they lend you the fire and nothing else.
Open in the cold months, and closed through December.
